About the Role
This position is integral to Carvana's Credit & Risk modeling domain, focusing on high-impact predictive models that assist in risk assessment and decision-making across the organization.
We are seeking a senior contributor to enhance the technical capabilities of our core credit and risk models by developing, validating, and implementing new modeling techniques and data signals.
Success in this role is driven by continuous improvement, introducing innovative ideas pragmatically, demonstrating value swiftly, and progressively refining approaches over time. Although the primary focus will be on our flagship credit and risk models, effective techniques and signals are expected to extend to other models and teams through collaborative workflows and modeling infrastructure.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of advanced modeling and practical application, effectively balancing complexity with business goals.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Enhancing core credit and risk models through a series of incremental improvements in accuracy, robustness, and coverage.
- Utilizing a diverse array of structured and unstructured data sources across various modalities to propel sustained enhancements in model accuracy.
