As part of a dynamic team of data scientists, analysts, engineers, product managers, and designers, you will focus on enhancing pricing products for our hosts. You will collaborate closely with fellow data scientists within the Guest & Host Data Science organization to create models and tools that elevate the Airbnb marketplace for both guests and hosts.
Your Impact:
Your work will be pivotal in developing a pricing guidance system aimed at assisting hosts, as well as establishing methods to evaluate the impact of pricing feature launches. Key responsibilities include (1) partnering with product teams to refine pricing strategies for hosts, (2) creating foundational models for pricing recommendations that align with market demand, and (3) effectively communicating insights through data narratives that aid cross-functional decision-making for future pricing innovations.
A Day in Your Role:
- Fostering strong relationships with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, and Analytics.
- Utilizing programming skills (Python, SQL, R) to model, simulate, and assess the impact of new pricing features.
- Analyzing data creatively to discern the varying effects of pricing feature launches and translating findings into actionable insights.
- Communicating discoveries and insights to leadership and partners in a clear, concise manner.
