We are seeking a Senior Design Operations professional to become a vital member of our team in North America. Achieving growth at scale hinges on fostering trust, partnerships, and collaboration. This role is dedicated to enhancing the processes, methodologies, tools, and culture that drive high-performing design teams. Collaborating closely with the Design Operations Director, you will work to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness, contributing to the development of strategies, the implementation of processes, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to propel the success of design and UX research initiatives.
Candidates must be based in eastern Canada and available to work within the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone.
Your Responsibilities:
Equip teams for success by providing essential tools, training, and process documentation.
Develop and manage programs that enhance design operations (e.g., analyzing design reporting through JIRA metrics to identify improvement areas).
Influence design and product processes by identifying issues (sprints, VQA) and proposing actionable improvements.
Facilitate efficient collaboration among team members, ensuring timely communication and production while minimizing feedback loops.
Oversee the sprint ceremony calendar, including scheduling guests and setting agendas.
Evaluate, implement, and optimize tools to boost team productivity and collaboration.
Create playbooks and documentation that foster alignment and best practices at scale.
Actively engage in shaping the team culture, focusing on morale and unspoken feedback.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of industry experience within a creative team, positively influencing culture in matrix organizations.
Comprehensive understanding of how design, product, and engineering teams collaborate within an agile framework.
Experience in scaling design programs and methodologies (preferred) aimed at enhancing team performance.
Possess an analytical mindset to drive process improvements.
