QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is required. A minimum of 12 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles. Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and experience with financial consolidations. Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and leveraging technology for automation. A hands-on leader with experience in establishing close-to-reporting processes in complex environments. Ability to thrive in ambiguity and build processes from the ground up. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, adept at working across diverse cultures and geographies.

Your Role

Metropolis is on the hunt for a dynamic Assistant Controller to take charge of our corporate accounting operations. In this pivotal leadership position, you will be responsible for establishing essential accounting processes, leading financial closes, and operationalizing the Controller’s strategic vision. This role is about transforming strategy into scalable and efficient processes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and scalable.
  • Design and implement new policies, controls, and workflows in accordance with GAAP/IFRS, revenue recognition, and consolidations.
  • Champion automation and AI integration in reconciliations, reporting, and consolidation tasks.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team, promoting accountability and excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Operations) to maintain data integrity and ensure accurate reporting.
