Role Summary
The Senior Document Controller plays a critical role in overseeing the organization, management, and maintenance of all project documentation, ensuring adherence to established protocols, contractual commitments, and quality benchmarks. This position guarantees the precision, integrity, and effective dissemination of documents throughout all stages of the project. The Senior Document Controller collaborates closely with the Senior Resident Engineer and project leadership to manage document control systems, liaise with contractors and consultants, and uphold compliance with project documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the management, control, and maintenance of all project documentation in accordance with project protocols and quality standards.
- Ensure accurate filing, tracking, distribution, and archiving of documents for all project stakeholders.
- Compile and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports on project developments.
- Evaluate contractor submissions, including progress reports, completion reports, and payment valuations.
- Assist in initial construction planning, including constructability reviews and site condition assessments.
- Contribute to the preparation of project procedures, quality plans, staffing schedules, and site infrastructure needs.
- Engage in early site mobilization and coordination of temporary facilities and essential services.
- Document and attend weekly progress and technical meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of technical discussions, correspondence, and project decisions.
- Support the Senior Resident Engineer in reviewing contractor claims and ensuring project compliance.
- Prepare project close-out documentation and final handover reports.
