Are you ready to push the boundaries of possibility?We are seeking the following:A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications/experience. A demonstrated history of successfully delivering Electrical Projects. Experience within the nuclear industry or another highly regulated sector. Proven technical knowledge and leadership experience. An understanding of mechanical, civil, and process systems, with the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Desirable Experience/Knowledge:Design of Low Voltage Electrical Distribution. Control System design expertise. Building Services & Management system design experience. Expertise in Earthing & Lightning protection design. A working knowledge of BS7671.Familiarity with safety standards (IEC 61508, 61511, 61513). Understanding of Functional Safety and Reliability principles. Project management skills.

You'll become a vital member of a diverse and dynamic team, making significant contributions to project management and execution. Collaborating closely with AECOM's exceptional engineering team, you'll provide expert guidance and technical supervision in nuclear EC&I engineering. Your role will be critical in the design, development, and execution of Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (EC&I) systems in nuclear facilities, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of nuclear operations and infrastructure. We seek individuals who excel in roles requiring sound design judgement and where engineering excellence is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and engineering of EC&I systems for nuclear projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications.
  • Create detailed specifications, drawings, and technical documentation for EC&I systems, maintaining accuracy and adherence to safety standards.
  • Offer technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers and technicians, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to seamlessly integrate EC&I solutions within overall project frameworks.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and impact analyses to inform decision-making processes.
  • Effectively manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to meet project milestones and objectives.
  • Engage in the commissioning, testing, and validation of EC&I systems, ensuring functionality and performance align with operational requirements.
  • Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to facilitate project approvals and compliance.
