Your Impact

As a vital member of a high-performing software engineering team, you will develop embedded software for Axon's devices, ensuring critical evidence is captured during essential moments for our clients. This role offers a chance to collaborate with skilled software and firmware engineers, contributing to the advancement of next-generation public safety products, such as body-worn cameras, in-car cameras, wireless microphones, and more.

In your role, you will play a key part in architectural decisions that influence our products. Your commitment is to build device software that emphasizes high stability, rapid responsiveness, and consistent performance. You enjoy working with the latest open-source technologies and can apply your system design expertise to make sound technical choices for a robust system.

You have the ability to navigate competing engineering trade-offs with empathy for customer needs, allowing you to propose innovative solutions to their challenges. Working closely with product managers and designers, you will ensure we are developing the right solutions for our customers. Additionally, you take pleasure in mentoring fellow engineers and relish the opportunity to elevate the capabilities of your team.

Your primary responsibilities as an Embedded Application Software Engineer will include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining embedded applications and network configurations, along with the supporting systems and libraries, while interfacing with cloud and firmware services for our devices.
