We are seeking a Senior Engineer II who is enthusiastic about Kubernetes and eager to elevate our managed Kubernetes solution, DOKS, to new heights.
As part of the DOKS team, you will collaborate with a dynamic group focused on transforming cloud computing and AI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance the DigitalOcean Managed Kubernetes product.
- Contribute to our expanding GPU capabilities to facilitate scalable inference workloads.
- Develop back-end gRPC services utilizing Go on Kubernetes.
- Design back-end services and document engineering designs.
- Set high standards for Operational Excellence.
- Lead projects independently.
- Manage the complexities of distributed systems in production environments.
- Translate design documents into executable epics and user stories with estimates.
- Conduct experiments to enhance user experience and drive DOKS adoption.
- Engage with and support open-source projects, collaborating with our developer community through customer interactions, blogs, and podcasts.
- Identify and integrate emerging tools, trends, and methodologies into existing systems and processes.
- Regularly communicate with key customers to understand their product needs.
- Participate in discussions on architecture, implementation, and design patterns, effectively conveying ideas to peers and mentees.
- Collaborate with teams across multiple time zones.
