About the job
As a Senior Engineer in Purchasing at Bosch Group, you will manage a diverse range of commodities including Extrusions, Pump Housing Machining, Bearing Bush, Elastomers, and Bearing Sleeve, along with any future assignments aligned with organizational needs. Your primary responsibilities will encompass:
- Identifying, establishing, and developing potential suppliers while defining optimal sourcing strategies for your assigned commodities.
- Managing the RFQ process, negotiating the techno-commercial terms, and determining the share of business (SOB) to secure the best value for the organization.
- Overseeing new development activities, including procurement for prototypes and PPAP, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Facilitating the transition of developed parts to procurement according to current purchasing guidelines.
- Ensuring supplier capacity meets organizational targets and preparing necessary approvals for new part developments.
- Conducting market surveys and analyses to maintain Bosch's competitive position while identifying cost-saving opportunities through negotiations and value engineering.
- Assessing and mitigating risks throughout the procurement process, including potential supply chain disruptions and quality concerns.
- Coordinating the closure of audit points related to your commodities and ensuring compliance with ISO and other standards.
- Supporting IPN colleagues in global supplier identification and qualification initiatives as necessary.
