As the Senior Engineer, Surface Technology (Parts Coating), you will be an integral part of our Surface Technology Group, collaborating with global technology experts, including materials scientists, equipment engineers, and field service engineers. Your role will involve tackling time-sensitive technological challenges and crafting innovative solutions through collaboration with customers and partners.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Enhancing the longevity, stability, and performance of Thermal & Plasma Enhanced ALD system components to ensure reliable deposition of next-generation thin film materials with diverse electrical and physical properties.
- Independently developing innovative methods for coating and refurbishing vacuum chamber components to optimize performance, lifespan, and cost of ownership for various materials used in semiconductor devices.
- Connecting process parameters with physical characterization and electrical responses to gain insights into underlying mechanisms.
- Specifying, procuring, and developing advanced process equipment.
- Creating new formulations for protective and release coatings.
- Utilizing expertise in atmospheric and vacuum-based etching and surface treatment methods, while employing advanced characterization techniques.
- Managing projects and relationships with key third-party suppliers and supporting institutions.
- Demonstrating a passion for surface engineering processes and a systematic approach to drive projects and investigate root causes of failures.
