Your Mission
Our infrastructure mission is clear: “we empower feature teams to build the features they need, the way they choose, swiftly.” As the Senior Engineering Manager for the Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the platform that actualizes this mission. This entails creating world-class build pipelines, a Terraform-based cloud foundation, a disciplined AWS account structure, and cost optimization strategies that allow us to advance without excessive spending. You will develop the developer leverage necessary for every team at Engine to deliver faster and with greater confidence. You will lead a high-performing team of infrastructure engineers, establishing technical direction, recruiting top talent, and collaborating closely with feature teams to ascertain their needs for expedited progress.
What You’ll Own
- Design and refine Engine’s CI/CD and build pipeline infrastructure to maximize developer velocity and reliability across all teams.
- Oversee our Terraform-based infrastructure, defining standards, module libraries, and guardrails that feature teams can build upon with assurance.
- Lead AWS account organization and governance: account vending, IAM strategy, tagging standards, and Control Tower or comparable structures.
- Drive cloud cost optimization: enhancing visibility through tagging and reporting, managing reservations and savings plans, and identifying actionable savings opportunities.
