Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a knack for advocating security and inspiring teams and stakeholders. A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

The Security Foundation Engineering team plays a critical role in safeguarding our platform and clients against evolving threats. We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead this initiative and establish a vision for integrating security at every layer of our platform.

Your Impact:

  • Develop and expand a high-performing engineering team focused on Security, Access, and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Lead the team and the organization to excel in the regulatory landscape by enhancing platform security and compliance.
  • Formulate and implement strategies for secure frameworks, primitives, and tools utilized across Databricks.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product leaders across the organization to ensure security and compliance are embedded in all new initiatives.
  • Champion the adoption of security best practices throughout the company by creating user-friendly and scalable frameworks and services.
  • Provide technical guidance for secure system design and spearhead efforts to minimize technical debt in core security components.
  • Represent Databricks and our security practices to senior leadership internally and to the industry externally.
