Mission of the Role

As a Senior Equipment Technician on the EPI team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of ASM's epitaxy systems, directly influencing device quality and yield. By supporting two ASM EPI toolsets, you will leverage your equipment expertise and process awareness to troubleshoot complex issues, lead technical escalations, and prevent recurrence. Your contributions will facilitate advanced semiconductor innovation while promoting safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the factory.

SHIFT:
 
 3:00 PM–12:00 AM shift, with a two-week on-call rotation every eight weeks, including weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support two ASM EPI toolsets, ensuring high availability, stability, and performance.
  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, software, vacuum, thermal, and gas delivery subsystems.
  • Document, present, and explain technical issues during tool escalations to enable effective resolution.
  • Utilize basic process method knowledge to enhance root-cause analysis and correlate hardware behavior with process outcomes.
  • Address recurring alarms using standard fault trees; appropriately escalate unfamiliar or complex failures.
