Responsibilities:Exhibit complete ownership of projects from inception through to fabrication and production roll-out, focusing on plastic injection molding and manufacturing processes. Lead technicians in diagnosing and resolving intricate failures of injection molding machines and associated peripheral equipment. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address equipment, process, and behavioral discrepancies. Design and execute complex improvement projects aimed at maximizing production equipment availability, optimizing cycle times, and enhancing overall equipment effectiveness. Engage in hands-on troubleshooting and repair of equipment, including mechanical, electrical, automation, fluid, pneumatic, and control system failures. Coordinate with internal and external resources to plan and carry out repairs, overhauls, and equipment upgrade projects. Utilize technician feedback to enhance work instructions and operational processes.

SENIOR EQUIPMENT ENGINEER - INSOURCE MANUFACTURING

SpaceX is innovating a low-latency, broadband internet system designed to cater to consumers worldwide. Powered by a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites, Starlink aims to deliver fast and reliable internet to underserved populations, particularly in rural areas where access is often limited or prohibitively expensive.

In this role within the materials engineering team, you will provide engineering support for both scheduled and unscheduled repairs, modifications, and upgrades of production equipment utilized in the Injection Molding Starlink program. As a key technical resource, you will guide technicians in resolving complex technical challenges and take full ownership of equipment improvement initiatives, from conceptualization through design and implementation. Your contributions will significantly enhance the availability of critical production equipment, allowing Starlink to advance rapidly toward its mission. We seek individuals with an open mindset who challenge conventional technologies, employing a logical and disciplined approach to identify the best solutions.
