As a Senior Field Process Engineer, you will play a vital role in enhancing ASM's advanced film technologies at our clients' Oregon site by developing, optimizing, and transferring state-of-the-art ALD, PEALD, PECVD, Epitaxy, and LPCVD processes. You will act as the crucial technical liaison between customer engineering teams and ASM’s global Business Unit, ensuring the successful introduction of new products and processes. Your contributions will directly support ASM’s mission to accelerate the future of semiconductor manufacturing through collaboration, technical excellence, and strong customer partnerships.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate New Product Introduction (NPI) by collaborating with the Business Unit to gain in-depth knowledge of new deposition processes and equipment.
  • Lead the implementation and transition of new processes at the customer site.
  • Work closely with field hardware engineers and Business Unit teams to troubleshoot new products and propose process or hardware enhancements.
  • Design and conduct on-site experiments with customers to drive development, integration, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Promptly escalate issues to maintain project scope, timelines, and alignment with customer expectations.
  • Document critical insights during NPI and ensure effective knowledge transfer to local service and manufacturing teams.
  • Analyze baseline system and process performance to pinpoint gaps concerning technology-node requirements.
  • Conduct structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis on process or system discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with customer teams to identify and cultivate opportunities for ASM hardware and process integration.
  • Support the transition to high-volume manufacturing (HVM) fabs, creating and disseminating best-known methods (BKMs) and documentation.
  • Uphold strong discipline regarding IP boundaries, ensuring compliance throughout all processes.
