Qualifications:PhD preferred; Master's or PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a process engineer, or a combination of academic and industry experience with relevant expertise in PEALD, PECVD, and thin film deposition techniques.

ASM is seeking a Senior Engineer for our Field Process team in the ALD/EPI/PEALD/CVD business unit based in Taichung. In this role, you will provide essential process support and troubleshooting at client sites. As a key contributor to our business success, you will enhance our operations by refining and developing processes executed on our equipment at customer locations. As a Field Process Engineer, you will be tasked with understanding our clients’ requirements and delivering process support and implementation in alignment with business units, ensuring we meet and exceed customer expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, comprehend, and pinpoint current customer needs while anticipating future demands to foster long-term sustainable relationships and solutions.
  • Generate, maintain, and ensure the relevance of technical information utilized by both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage the penetration and installation of new products alongside subsequent process development.
  • Outline project scope and resource planning in collaboration with business units, escalating issues to management for resource gaps.
  • Drive continuous enhancements of the customer experience through team development, process optimization, and support tool advancement.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Engineering, Sales, and Business Units to ensure successful application penetration and site-based operations.
