Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:Define autoflight and flight control system requirements. Collaborate with pilots and the operations team to devise flight test plans, address issues, and relay design updates. Design and critically evaluate flight control laws from the initial concept through implementation and certification. Create simulation models to assess the performance and stability of flight control systems. Implement control laws and algorithms within flight software. Test flight software in simulated environments, Monte Carlo simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, and actual flight scenarios. Basic Qualifications:Master's degree in aerospace engineering, robotics, or a related discipline.8+ years of hands-on experience in developing and testing flight control algorithms. Proficiency in flight dynamics simulation and model identification. Demonstrated experience in creating C/C++ flight software and conducting Python data reduction and analysis. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:PhD in aerospace engineering, robotics, or a comparable advanced degree. Current pilot license with instrument or commercial ratings.

Role overview
The Senior Flight Control Law Engineer will be part of the Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Team. This role centers on designing, implementing, integrating, and testing flight control laws that cover every phase of automated flight, including autotaxi, auto-takeoff, autoland, and automatic rollout.
What you will do
- Design and implement flight control laws for automated aircraft operations
- Integrate and test these control laws throughout all phases of flight
- Work directly with real hardware and C/C++ flight software during flight tests
- Perform simulation analysis and data reduction using Python and C/C++ within modeling and simulation environments
