Qualifications
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop robust flight software for spacecraft and telescope systems, focusing on command, control, and data handling (C&DH). Develop and maintain software that interacts with hardware components, sensors, and onboard subsystems. Architect systems to ensure high reliability, fault tolerance, and long-duration autonomous operation. Implement communication protocols for telemetry, command uplink/downlink, and system coordination. Collaborate with electrical and hardware teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components. Assist in hardware bring-up, integration, and debugging processes at the hardware/software interface. Develop and implement fault detection, isolation, and recovery (FDIR) mechanisms. Support system testing, including simulation, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), and validation activities. Engage in and contribute to design reviews (PDR, CDR, etc.) and maintain internal documentation. Provide engineering support during integration, testing, and system validation phases. Basic QualificationsProven experience in flight software development or related fields. Strong understanding of embedded systems and real-time operating systems. Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++ and Python. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
