Willingness and ability to travel over 75% of the time to remote locations within the US and abroad. Strong understanding of the National Airspace System and UAS regulations. Hands-on experience with large UAS testing environments and methodologies.

Role overview

The Senior Flight Test Engineer - Advanced Defense Technology will focus on testing and evaluating Group 3 Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). This work supports both internal product development and customer demonstrations. The role has a direct impact on the reliability and safety of new autonomous defense technologies, shaping how these systems perform in real-world battlefield conditions.

What you will do

  • Plan and conduct comprehensive testing and evaluation of Group 3 UAS to confirm performance and reliability.
  • Travel to remote test locations throughout the United States, with occasional assignments abroad to support trials.
  • Join regular stand-up meetings to provide progress updates to program and test leadership.
  • Create and execute focused test plans for both internal initiatives and customer-facing evaluations.
  • Establish and uphold safety protocols to minimize risk during test activities.
  • Encourage open communication within the team and across other departments in the organization.
