Black Canyon Consulting (BCC) is actively seeking a skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer with a robust background in back-end development to join our team supporting the ClinicalTrials.gov (CTG) initiative at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This pivotal role involves designing and implementing scalable back-end services for a state-of-the-art, enterprise-level data submission platform that must achieve full functional parity with a legacy system while enhancing maintainability, reliability, and performance.
Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing legacy codebases and existing business rules, comprehending complex regulatory and workflow logic, and translating that functionality into clean, efficiently architected services in the new system. Familiarity with server-side templates will be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will contribute to ensuring that the back-end architecture supports scalability, containerization, observability, and modern DevOps practices in alignment with cloud-native principles.
You will collaborate with a highly skilled, cross-functional team that includes Front-end Engineers, Product Managers, UX Designers, QA, DevOps, and client stakeholders to deliver a mission-critical platform that supports clinical research data utilized by hundreds of thousands of users daily.
