We transform extensive data into a user-friendly, interactive 3D command center that serves as a visual interface for mission simulations, a vital tool for business development, and a compelling demonstration of our advanced technological capabilities to military and government leaders. Our team takes ambitious concepts through to fruition, utilizing high-performance C++ for core development while enabling swift feature expansions via modern scripting and plugin frameworks. We expertly manage the logistics of delivering seamless augmented reality demonstrations to key stakeholders, combining the creative energy of a top-tier game studio with the rigorous discipline demanded by national security.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Systems Designer on the Sand Table team, you'll play a crucial role in crafting immersive and realistic gameplay systems for our next-generation wargaming and briefing capabilities utilizing XR headsets. Collaborating closely with our creative director and AI programmers, you will design, implement, and refine core gameplay features and systems that empower military users to engage meaningfully with complex simulations in fully immersive environments.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
DESIGN OWNERSHIP & EXECUTION
- Design and develop foundational gameplay systems including unit behavior models, command structures, and decision-making frameworks for military simulations.
- Develop detailed combat systems that accurately reflect weapon effectiveness, damage modeling, and battlefield outcomes.
- Produce comprehensive design documentation that clearly articulates system functionalities, user interactions, and anticipated results.
- Design scenario creation tools that enable users to rapidly construct and modify intricate military simulations.
- Ensure gameplay balance and realism to enhance user experience.
