ABOUT THE JOB
As a Senior Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Engineer on our Space team, you will take ownership of the design and understanding of all satellite GNC subsystems. This encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, including hardware sensors and actuators, orbital mechanics, navigation algorithms, flight software development, subsystem integration and testing (I&T), and vehicle I&T. You will collaborate closely with Systems, Flight Software, Mission Operations, and Ground Software teams. Your leadership will drive algorithm design, truth and physics modeling, simulation, and analysis for various spacecraft and missions, including LEO, MEO, GEO, Reentry, and Rendezvous Proximity Operations and Docking (RPOD). As a Senior GNC Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation, validation, and GNC operations of Anduril’s spacecraft fleet.
This position is linked to active, funded programs within Anduril’s Space Business Line. These initiatives demand the development and deployment of resilient, software-defined spacecraft systems across multiple mission threads, collaborating with mission partners and clients to deliver reliable capabilities on operational timelines that address complex challenges within the DOD and IC.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead the development of spacecraft GNC software and hardware subsystems across various orbital regimes, ensuring successful collaboration with bus providers.
