Join our dynamic Component Engineering Team based in Pittsburgh as a Senior Hardware Engineer specializing in Radar Components. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the design and development of cutting-edge radar technology that drives advanced mobility solutions. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the entire radar component design process, from initial concept through to production, including requirements definition, supplier selection and management, system integration, testing and validation, issue resolution, and ensuring readiness for full-scale production.

This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence in Pittsburgh, PA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of technical supplier management, coordinating activities and project milestones between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Compile, define, and uphold comprehensive sets of requirements for radar components.
  • Collaborate across various teams including Perception, Systems, Mechanical, Vehicle, Manufacturing, Quality, Software, Cybersecurity, Diagnostics, and Reliability.
  • Develop and support testing for machine learning-based algorithms, including test design, planning, execution, and data collection.
  • Lead radar acceptance, performance, and characterization testing to ensure robust system performance.
  • Support and drive vehicle integration initiatives for radar systems.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and oversee issue resolution to maintain high quality and reliability standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on radar components.
