Your Qualifications:A minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics design for small-series or larger production. Hands-on experience in transitioning designs to manufacturing, including DFM/DFT, industrialization, and test setup. Proficient in EoL testing, yield and failure analysis, and driving continuous improvement during production ramp-up. Experience in multidisciplinary teams encompassing hardware, software, mechanics, testing, and production. Strong skills in schematic design, PCB layout, component selection, simulation, prototyping, and testing. Expertise in Altium Designer or similar ECAD tools, with experience in LTspice, Matlab, or comparable simulation software. Ability to generate documentation and reports, along with basic data analysis skills in Excel or similar tools. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or embedded systems. Proficient in verbal and written English. Proactive, detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn and improve.

Join our Innovative Team as a Senior Hardware Engineer

Skeleton Technologies is seeking a passionate and seasoned Senior Hardware Engineer (m/f/x) to become a part of our dynamic Engineering Department.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Define electronics functionality and convert system-level requirements into comprehensive hardware specifications for over 100 devices annually.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, budgetary constraints, and customer needs throughout the entire development process.
  • Perform risk, reliability, and redundancy analyses, including methodologies such as FMEA and FTA.
  • Design electronic concepts, select components, and create schematics, PCB layouts, wiring, and interfaces that meet functional, EMC/EMI, environmental, and manufacturability standards.
  • Conduct electrical simulations and tests to validate system behavior and collaborate with manufacturing partners on DFM/DFT activities.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including design logs, reports, manuals, and production files.
  • Enhance hardware quality through validation testing and collaboration with test engineers.
  • Define and validate end-of-line (EoL) testing, encompassing equipment, fixtures, and software needs; analyze yield data and failure modes for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and quality teams to troubleshoot design or process issues.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal product, engineering, and production teams, providing guidance for product builds as necessary.
