The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Software Engineer to take charge of the reliability, scalability, and deployment of our electronic hardware test automation platform. This essential platform is critical for executing comprehensive testing — from full-system to component-level automated electronic hardware tests across our global engineering sites and contract manufacturer locations.
As the primary infrastructure authority on our internal tooling software development team, you will collaborate closely with IonQ's core Infrastructure team. Your goal will be to develop and deploy a minimal, secure, and maintainable infrastructure required for executing our test automation software on various devices, from rack-mounted servers to lightweight, single-purpose devices within our manufacturing verification processes. As a senior team member, you will work independently, lead moderately scoped projects, and serve as a subject-matter expert for the test organization.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying our test automation software to a distributed fleet of testbeds.
- Develop and manage infrastructure for testbed provisioning, remote management, and monitoring.
- Contribute to testbed design and hardware selection to enhance team objectives.
- Implement and uphold best practices in software development and infrastructure management.
