Qualifications
What You'll Do
Own the integration architecture and strategy for designated domains, defining API-led patterns (Experience, Process, and System APIs), reference architectures, and standards governing system integrations across the enterprise.
Design and lead the implementation of integrations between SaaS and on-premises applications (such as NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, Snowflake, and ServiceNow) across Finance, HR, Security, and GTM platforms, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and resilient.
Create data integration strategies for managing high volumes of data in transit with optimal performance and cost efficiency.
Define and enforce API governance, including design guidelines, versioning strategies, documentation standards (e.g., MuleSoft RAML/OpenAPI/Swagger), and reusable frameworks for common concerns like authentication, error handling, and observability.
Provide technical leadership to integration engineers, including solution design, code reviews, pair programming, and mentoring junior engineers.
Implement and manage REST/SOAP APIs and webhooks, from conceptual design through to development, performance testing, deployment, and lifecycle management via an API gateway or iPaaS (e.g., MuleSoft Anypoint Platform).
Architect robust data integrations for both real-time and scheduled (batch) workloads using APIs, messaging, sFTP, and file-based exchanges.

About the Role
The Senior Integration & Automation Engineer is a pivotal, hands-on technical leadership position responsible for defining and implementing our enterprise integration strategy. This role emphasizes designing, governing, and overseeing secure and scalable integrations between our primary business platforms and external systems (including ERP, HCM, CRM, and data platforms). You will mentor engineers and advocate best practices across the organization. Collaborating closely with senior business stakeholders, application owners, and engineering teams, you will define integration patterns and standards for delivering robust, secure, real-time, and batch integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, messaging, and file-based interfaces. This role will primarily utilize the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (or a similar iPaaS) for API-led connectivity and is integral to the Enterprise Integrations & Intelligent Automations team as a key technical authority.
