AMCS Group is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join the team in Dublin. This role focuses on maintaining and advancing the company’s IT infrastructure, supporting both on-premises and cloud environments. The position requires on-site work two days per week to assist with physical infrastructure and foster collaboration.
Role overview
The Senior IT Systems Engineer serves as a key escalation point for complex technical issues, providing L2/L3 support to Service Desk and IT Operations engineers. This hands-on role leads efforts to improve reliability, security, and operational efficiency across the organization’s platforms.
What you will do
- Lead investigations and root-cause analysis for complex incidents, delivering permanent solutions and supporting colleagues with advanced technical challenges.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure across Windows, Linux, virtualization, and networking platforms, supporting on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
- Administer and enhance Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, DNS/DHCP, and identity federation services.
- Manage patching, configuration, and lifecycle of endpoints, servers, and network devices.
- Apply security best practices across identity, endpoint, network, and infrastructure layers.
- Support audit readiness and evidence collection for ISO27001, SOC, and internal control frameworks.
- Conduct audits of servers, security, and configurations to align with business continuity standards.
Work environment
