Join Our Team as a Senior Lead Network Engineer II!
CGS Federal is on the lookout for a skilled and innovative Senior Lead Network Engineer II to play a critical role in a transformative, large-scale network project. This initiative encompasses both wired and wireless network infrastructures and focuses on enhancing, evaluating, and maintaining these systems.
Your primary responsibilities will include assessing the current configurations of disparate networks, designing and implementing an integrated network infrastructure that meets both wireless and wired requirements, and providing expert consultation on the necessary hardware and software. You'll also oversee systems testing, vulnerability assessments, and quality assurance to ensure successful implementation.
As a vital member of our team, you will collaborate closely with state and local government personnel, internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and vendors to facilitate the development services needed for this project.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize NPS network infrastructure;
- Enhance monitoring and reporting capabilities through advanced network management software;
- Develop and maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation for the NPS network environment;
- Review current best practices and recommend improvements for architecture, design, management, and operations;
- Administer the Cloudpath onboarding process, troubleshoot wireless network health, and implement security patches and updates during business hours;
- Evaluate and recommend enhancements to the NPS network infrastructure;
- Define and implement testing procedures for new infrastructure projects;
- Provide design guidance and informal training to NPS resources on network best practices.
