Are you passionate about creating AI products that have a positive impact on society?

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Axon, you will play a vital role in developing AI solutions that enhance public safety and advance our mission to accelerate justice and protect lives. You will collaborate closely with fellow ML engineers and scientists to integrate cutting-edge AI capabilities into Axon’s suite of products (including Fleet, Draft One, Axon Air, VR, and more) through the training, evaluation, testing, and deployment of machine learning models on both Axon devices and cloud platforms.

Your work will span various AI domains, including computer vision, speech recognition, and natural language understanding, as part of a multidisciplinary team.


What You’ll Do

Location: Hybrid work arrangement from our Seattle, Washington office.
Reports to: Manager, Machine Learning Engineering

  • Work collaboratively with scientists and product managers to develop proof-of-concept (POC) solutions that will shape the future of Axon.
  • Design and implement secure, privacy-focused solutions that facilitate the continuous enhancement of existing AI models.
  • Create platforms that streamline research and accelerate AI product development.
  • Partner with scientists to architect and deploy state-of-the-art training techniques.
  • Set exemplary standards for ethical and responsible AI development.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Over 6 years of software engineering experience with a proven history of deploying AI models in cloud environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and cloud architecture.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++, with familiarity in machine learning frameworks.
