As a Data Engineer, you will join a pivotal team that manages the infrastructure that supports this data-driven environment. We are currently in the process of enhancing our system, transitioning from managed services to a robust, self-hosted stack that offers greater control and scalability. Our foundation is strong, and we continuously introduce new functionalities to enhance our platform.In this role, you will not only maintain data pipelines but also engineer the platform. Your responsibilities will include migrating our orchestration layer to Kubernetes, implementing stringent data contracts, and developing self-service tools that enable the rest of the organization to operate more efficiently. This hands-on engineering position ensures that your work directly contributes to the reliability and quality of data at Mollie.Your DeliverablesOversee the migration of our governance tools to DataHub on GKE (Kubernetes), enhancing our governance capabilities.Develop and refine self-service tools and CI/CD pipelines, enabling analysts and engineers to independently deploy data models.Improve data observability and quality by implementing data contracts and monitoring tools to identify issues before they affect stakeholders.Create tools and capabilities for efficient data collection, processing, and utilization within the company.Optimize our GCP infrastructure (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GCS, GKE) for cost efficiency and performance.
