What You’ll DoLocation: Hybrid from Seattle, WAReports to: Senior Director, AI Platform EngineeringDirect Reports:Architect and develop secure, privacy-preserving on-device solutions to facilitate continuous improvement of existing AI models. Collaborate with scientists in designing and implementing state-of-the-art edge distributed training techniques. Implement on-device monitoring solutions for ongoing model enhancement. Develop innovative model compression solutions enabling AI at the edge.

Your Impact

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Axon, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing the platform utilized by Axon scientists to integrate secure, reliable AI features into our devices. You will collaborate closely with scientists and device engineers to enable new AI capabilities for Axon products, including Fleet, Axon Body, Axon Air, and more. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will explore a wide range of domains and applications, from Automatic License Plate Recognition to Object Tracking and Automatic Speech Recognition.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of optimizing models for edge deployment, including on-device implementations with limited memory and connectivity, ensuring users around the globe are served effectively. You will have a strong understanding of the AI lifecycle, supporting scientists throughout the end-to-end development of new machine learning models and AI capabilities, leading to better and more responsible AI solutions. You will be encouraged to take bold steps in supporting your team to enable features that transform the lives of officers and drive positive impacts in public safety.
