Senior Machine Learning Engineer
The Senior Machine Learning Engineer serves as a vital individual contributor, tasked with the design, development, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of machine learning and computer vision models that support production-grade systems. This role necessitates a blend of hands-on technical execution with mentorship, collaboration, and data-driven problem-solving.
In an Agile environment, the Senior ML Engineer collaborates closely with the machine learning team and cross-functional partners to convert product requirements into robust ML solutions. This position demands profound expertise in contemporary ML and computer vision techniques, experience operating models in production, and the capability to mentor junior engineers through the complete ML lifecycle while driving quantifiable advancements in model performance and product quality.
Your Responsibilities
Technical Development & Innovation
- Design, implement, and optimize cutting-edge machine learning and computer vision models to enhance product functionality.
- Conduct research, assess, and deploy modern architectures and techniques, including CNNs, transformers, and vision-language models.
- Implement and benchmark newly developed algorithms on large-scale datasets, ensuring validation of both accuracy and throughput.
- Fine-tune large-scale models employing efficient adaptation techniques like LoRA and QLoRA.
Model Evaluation & Data Analysis
- Establish, implement, and monitor appropriate evaluation metrics (e.g., precision, recall, ROC-AUC, confusion matrices).
- Analyze training data to derive actionable insights and improve model performance.
