Role overview
The Senior Manager of Network Engineering leads the Datacenter Networking team at DigitalOcean. This position is responsible for developing and modernizing the company’s datacenter network infrastructure. Reporting to the Director of Network Infrastructure Engineering, the Senior Manager oversees daily operations, drives network innovation, and supports the growth of DigitalOcean’s network backbone.
What you will do
- Mentor and support team members, with a focus on talent development and performance management. Foster an inclusive and collaborative team culture.
- Design next-generation network solutions using a range of technologies.
- Collaborate with senior technical and business leaders to create long-term technology roadmaps for DigitalOcean.
- Identify and resolve obstacles that could impact team performance or project outcomes.
- Drive improvements and modernization of tools used for managing network equipment lifecycles.
