Qualifications:A degree in Mechanical Engineering or at least 5 years of leadership experience in Mechanical Commissioning roles. Demonstrated ability to maintain robust customer and stakeholder relationships within a multi-contractor site environment. Strong capability to interpret and analyze system P&IDs. Excellent understanding of EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) requirements related to mechanical commissioning activities. In-depth technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including:HVAC systems (CRAC, CRAH, AHUs, evaporative cooling, chillers, and associated controls)Pumps and pumping systems (including pressure vessels)CompressorsProcess water systems

We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Mechanical Commissioning Manager to lead our team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the Mechanical Commissioning (Cx) scope for large-scale data centre projects, ensuring that all systems are commissioned safely, compliantly, and in alignment with project milestones and client specifications. You will report directly to the Commissioning Manager.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and guiding Mechanical Cx Package engineers.
  1. Defining work scope and monitoring execution.
  2. Communicating deadlines and Cx programme milestones.
  3. Managing client stakeholder relationships.
  • Facilitating detailed design reviews for both CFCI and OFCI work packages.
  • Documenting and escalating design/process queries regarding the mechanical scope to the system designer/client team for review and approval.
  • Managing the project Cx Programme, including milestone and deadline oversight.
  • Ensuring thorough understanding and compliance with contract documents and procedures.
  • Planning and managing Vendor FAT/FWT with potential attendance as required.
  • Handling CFCI and OFCI vendor Cx scope.
  • Effective communication with all Mechanical Cx stakeholders.
  • Attending and contributing to Daily/Weekly Cx meetings with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
  • Formulating, updating, and submitting Mechanical Cx Progress and technical reports to the line manager.
  • Coordinating with the Project QAQC Department to achieve shared objectives.
  • Aligning with the Project AP Department to meet common goals.
  • Managing the creation, delivery, and approval of essential project Mechanical Cx documents such as Test Scripts and Compliance statements.
  • Ensuring receipt, review, and compliance of project Cx documentation to secure necessary sign-offs.
