Qualifications
Key ResponsibilitiesElectronics Packaging Design and Release: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to define packaging space requirements for Rivian Volkswagen Technologies' internally designed components. Engineer enclosures and mechanical assemblies for infotainment, connectivity, vehicle access, body control systems, and battery management, ensuring compliance with stringent thermal, environmental, and EMC standards. Be responsible for releasing components into PLM systems while meeting automotive drawing GD&T, materials selection, thermal management, and mechanical acceptance requirements. Production Management: Engage with suppliers to optimize designs for high-volume manufacturing, ensuring all performance targets are met. Review and approve tooling and first-tooled parts for mass production. Mechanical Validation: Work closely with reliability, test, and validation teams to ascertain mechanical shock and vibration levels for your product. Coordinate CAE analysis for thermal and vibration durability simulations, aiding in mechanical validation, fixture design, and failure analysis to ensure adherence to environmental durability and reliability standards.
