Your Contribution
Axon is dedicated to enhancing public safety through pioneering, innovative technologies. Renowned for creating the original TASER energy weapon, our engineering team is focused on maintaining excellence and industry leadership. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will own the design of next-generation life-saving technologies from inception to production, with your work being highly visible to senior executives. Our passionate leadership and collaboration with product managers, electrical engineers, industrial designers, and manufacturing teams are essential to our success and the long-term safety of the public.
Work Environment: This position is based in our Scottsdale, AZ office and adheres to a hybrid work schedule. We encourage in-person collaboration; therefore, team members are expected to work on-site from Tuesday to Friday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless otherwise arranged for specific workplace accommodations. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading innovative product development from concept to manufacturing.
- Employing creative problem-solving skills to spearhead the ideation of new product architectures for subsystem and system-level designs.
- Designing and evaluating high-fidelity proof-of-concept prototypes.
- Conducting detailed mechanical analyses to ensure functionality through FEA, tolerance analysis, testing, and additional exploratory methods.
- Regularly collaborating with both domestic and international stakeholders.
- Working independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
