Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Proven experience in the installation and operation of mechanical and electrical equipment in data centers. Preferred Qualifications:A master's degree or advanced coursework in HVAC systems or energy management is preferred. Strong knowledge of data center standards such as Uptime Institute's TER Standard Topology, TIA 942, and ANSI/BICSI 002.Professional certifications in HVAC engineering, such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP), or LEED accreditation are highly advantageous. P. E. registration is preferred.

AECOM is on the lookout for a talented Senior Mechanical Designer to join our Data Center and Mission Critical team in the eastern region of the U. S. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the technology sector, particularly the requirements for scalability, rapid execution, and reliability in data centers.

This role provides the flexibility of a remote work schedule, with the option to work from various locations in the U. S. where AECOM has offices.

While this position is primarily remote, occasional travel may be necessary for client meetings, key project milestones, on-site collaboration, or other essential business activities. Such travel will be planned in advance and is expected to be infrequent.
