About the role

At Apptronik, we are pioneering the field of human-centered robotics, focused on creating AI-driven robots that enhance various aspects of human life. Our flagship project, the Apollo humanoid robot, is designed to work collaboratively with humans in critical sectors such as manufacturing and logistics, with aspirations to expand into healthcare, domestic settings, and beyond.

We are at the forefront of embodied AI, utilizing our extensive knowledge across the complete robotics stack to address some of the most pressing challenges faced by society. As part of our team, you will contribute to scaling the Apollo project, overcoming intricate issues related to safety, commercialization, and mass production, ultimately aiming to make a positive impact on the world.

We are on the lookout for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will play a vital role in designing and developing our Apollo humanoid robots throughout the entire product lifecycle—from initial concept to production and ongoing support.

In this position, you will leverage your strong engineering principles and hands-on experience to tackle well-defined and moderately complex technical challenges. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams in electrical, software, manufacturing, quality assurance, and operations to deliver designs that fulfill performance, reliability, cost, safety, and manufacturability standards.

Senior engineers are expected to take ownership of substantial subsystems or features, work autonomously, and engage actively in technical discussions and design evaluations. This role also involves informal mentorship of junior engineers and participation in team technical standards, although it does not necessitate organization-wide technical leadership.
