We value diverse experiences! Nuclear experience is advantageous but not a requirement. If you have a background in regulated environments, your skills will be highly regarded. We encourage applicants who meet approximately 80% of the qualifications and are eager to grow. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification. Proven experience in highly regulated industrial or engineering settings. Expertise in piping systems, fabrication, or pressure systems engineering. Strong stakeholder management skills across multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and civil interfaces on construction sites. Experience in site-based engineering roles or similar project environments. Understanding of NDT methods such as UT, RT, PT, and MT is desirable. Ability to produce and review technical documentation effectively.

In this dynamic hybrid role, you will play a crucial part in our Technical Branch, tackling intricate engineering challenges at our Bridgwater site. We offer relocation support for those who need it. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be recognized as a technical authority responsible for ensuring safety, compliance, and effective delivery across design and construction interfaces.

Take the lead in resolving complex multidisciplinary design and construction engineering issues.
Provide technical oversight for safety-classified design modifications.
Author and prepare technical justifications, reviews, and decision-making documentation.
Manage configuration control and integrity of as-built design information.
Safeguard the integrity of the nuclear safety case for all engineering changes.
Collaborate with stakeholders including designers, contractors, and project teams.
Champion practical engineering solutions that span mechanical and system interfaces.
Lead or support technical task forces addressing high-risk engineering challenges.
Communicate engineering decisions with clear, risk-based justifications.
Assist in resolving site queries during construction and commissioning phases.
