Position Available: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Role Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will spearhead the design of mechanical systems for diverse building projects, including sectors such as Higher Education, Cultural & Performing Arts, Healthcare, K-12, Justice/Civic, and Energy. You will lead mechanical engineering teams in generating high-quality construction documents utilizing Revit, while effectively managing project timelines to ensure deliverable goals are met. Your role will involve close collaboration with other disciplines within an integrated design team to create cohesive and highly functional building designs.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing the design process of mechanical building systems and producing detailed mechanical engineering drawings and calculations. You will manage Mechanical Designers and other team members to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients as part of the integrated design process.
  • Develop and coordinate documentation utilizing Revit.
  • Execute mechanical/HVAC calculations, including conducting code research.
  • Conduct plumbing/fire protection calculations, accompanied by relevant code research.
  • Draft and assess specifications.
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Perform site visits as required.
  • Lead mechanical project teams and/or interdisciplinary project teams.
