Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) with over 5 years of experience in engineering design, analysis, or applications. Residing in Chicago, Illinois. Willingness to travel 30–50% of the time, occasionally at short notice (not for extended periods). Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). A passion for continuous learning and growth within the field. Physical and Mental Requirements:Ability to sit for extended periods. Willingness to travel to various project sites as required. Capability to stand, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods. A positive and friendly demeanor towards colleagues and clients. Comfortable working in a remote or hybrid environment.

Join our dynamic Equipment Consulting team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This exciting role is perfect for a motivated, entrepreneurial individual with a diverse skill set that transcends traditional engineering boundaries. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of Mechanical Engineering, complemented by strategic flexibility and the ability to tackle a variety of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and assess damages across a broad spectrum of mechanical and electronic systems, including machinery, refrigeration units, furnaces, conveyance systems, elevators, UPS systems, boilers, medical and laboratory equipment, injection molding machines, industrial plants, and other mechanical/industrial equipment.
  • Conduct thorough configuration audits.
  • Evaluate requirements and specifications to identify suitable equipment replacements.
  • Research and analyze costs associated with new and used equipment replacements.
  • Regularly produce detailed reports of 3+ pages.
