Role ResponsibilitiesAssume complete ownership of product outcomes for spaceflight hardware, emphasizing high-frequency active and passive RF and digital electronics. Develop specifications for subsystems and components, covering loads, interfaces, and functional requirements. Conduct mechanical design and analysis of intricate electronics enclosures to meet launch and on-orbit criteria. Establish and define design best practices for forthcoming programs. Oversee system-level scheduling and integration requirements for your components while collaborating with the Assembly, Integration, and Test team to facilitate a seamless build process. Contribute to the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new team members to support our rapidly expanding workforce. RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering. Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering. Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on testing experience. Experience in spacecraft or aerospace engineering is a plus.

Senior Mechanical Engineer - RF Packaging

In the role of Senior Mechanical Engineer for Electronics Packaging at Astranis, you will take full ownership of the lifecycle of various components and subsystems aboard our spacecraft. Collaborating with multiple teams, you will implement incremental improvements and introduce new systems to fruition.

Beyond your individual contributions, you will mentor and guide junior mechanical engineers through these projects. A robust problem-solving mindset, hands-on testing capabilities, and preferably experience in spacecraft or aerospace engineering are essential for success in this role.
