About The Role:
We are in the process of designing the next generation of the Digit Humanoid Robot for commercial use. The reliability and robustness of our designs are paramount for successful large-scale deployment. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will collaborate closely with fellow mechanical engineers and cross-functional teams to advance the Digit project. This role will involve ownership of multiple mechanical and electromechanical components and assemblies, encompassing design, prototyping, and DFx responsibilities.
About the Work:
- Lead the 3D and 2D design of electromechanical components and subassemblies, including the prototyping process for parts and subsystems.
- Engage in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, industrial design, software, testing, and manufacturing) to define requirements and develop innovative design concepts.
- Conduct engineering analyses to validate design decisions, including structural and thermal analysis support.
