Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to foster an integrated design approach. Create and coordinate design documents using Revit software. Conduct mechanical and HVAC calculations, including code research. Perform plumbing and fire protection calculations, along with code compliance checks. Draft and review specifications and documentation. Review shop drawings, Requests for Information (RFIs), and project submittals. Conduct site visits as necessary. Manage mechanical project teams and interdisciplinary project collaborations. Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE). A minimum of 7 years of experience as a mechanical engineer, focusing on HVAC systems, central utility plants, plumbing, and fire suppression systems. Proficient knowledge of design and construction processes, and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Los Angeles office. In this role, you will lead the design of mechanical systems for a diverse range of projects, including Higher Education, Cultural and Performing Arts, Healthcare, K-12, Justice/Civic, and Energy sectors. You will manage mechanical engineering teams to create high-quality construction documents utilizing Revit, ensuring that project schedules align with deliverable timelines. As part of our integrated design team, you will collaborate closely with various disciplines to develop innovative building designs.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing the design process of mechanical building systems and preparing comprehensive mechanical engineering drawings and calculations. You will also lead and mentor Mechanical Designers and other team members.
