Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with at least 8 years of direct experience in HVAC system design, or a proven equivalent of experience and/or education. Preferred Qualifications:15+ years of experience in complex HVAC and plumbing design projects, particularly in healthcare facilities or laboratories. Possession of a Professional Engineering License. Extensive knowledge of relevant engineering tools, including REVIT, CAD, load calculation software, and Excel. Experience during the construction phase, including submittal reviews, on-site inspections, RFIs, and change orders. Proficiency in preparing proposals, project budgets, and work plans. Familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project.

AECOM is on the lookout for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to become a key member of our Minneapolis office, contributing to our global engineering endeavors. This role will focus on the design of HVAC systems for laboratories, clean rooms, healthcare facilities, and high-tech industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for crafting bespoke solutions tailored to unique project specifications, mentoring junior engineers, engaging with clients, and generating calculations, construction documents, design reports, and specifications to ensure compliance with building codes for mechanical, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
