We are seeking an experienced Microsoft DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of IT experience, specifically in planning and managing web-enabled databases for interactive, public-facing enterprise-level websites. Experience in media or retail applications is a plus.
As a Microsoft DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all technical upgrades and integrations related to our website and digital assets. You must demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines, work independently with minimal supervision, and have a proven track record of successful project delivery. References will be required to validate your skills. This is a Work-from-Home position with no travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage traditional Windows/IIS server environments with extensive expertise.
- Work with WAF environments to ensure security and performance.
- Architect, implement, deploy, and maintain complex application solutions that align with the requirements and policies of our hosting and IT partners.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and policies and address any documented issues promptly.
- Develop and maintain code in languages such as C, C++, C#, JavaScript, and PowerShell.
- Create unit tests and performance/load testing scripts.
- Oversee resources for development, UAT, and production instances (web/app servers, databases, storage, networking, etc.).
- Manage build steps, pipelines, and releases for code and database updates.
- Identify and automate manual processes while maintaining existing automation programs.
- Act as the primary contact for client service requests, DNS updates, infrastructure changes, and application upgrades.
- Manage access to code repositories, particularly Git.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical production systems.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and development is advantageous.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams.
- On-Premise experience is essential; this role is not focused on cloud technologies.
- Strong Windows/. NET experience is a must.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Day shift, Monday to Friday
- On-call and weekends as needed
