Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in aerospace systems and demonstrate expertise in the appropriate fidelity levels for subsystem and system-level modeling essential for seamless integration with flight control and mission autonomy software. Proficiency in vehicle and subsystem modeling is a must, along with a strong foundation in coding practices and software integration methodologies. A passion for aviation and the ability to create physics-based digital representations of aerial vehicles are essential for success in this role.

Within our Tactical Reconnaissance and Strike Division (TRS), we focus on the design and development of our advanced fleet of small combat and surveillance drones, including Ghost, Anvil, Altius, and Bolt. Our Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) team is tasked with the implementation, analysis, testing, validation, modeling, and simulation of GNC software that supports these autonomous drones. This includes applications for attitude and position control, waypoint navigation, and terminal guidance in contested environments where communication and GPS may be compromised. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining high-fidelity 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DOF) simulation software critical for GNC algorithm development, testing, and validation.
