Qualifications

7+ years of experience in IT networking. Proficient with Cisco Router and Switch (CCNP or equivalent), SD-WAN, SDA, MPLS, WLC, and ISE (ISE is desirable). Essential experience with Fortinet Firewalls and FortiManager. Desirable experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama. Familiarity with Zscaler, ACI, Cisco Wireless, Load Balancers, and Cloud Networking is a plus. Advanced knowledge of network design, support, and diagnostics. Strong technical documentation skills for creating Design and Support documents. Certification in two or more vendor technologies, preferably Cisco, Arista, Aruba, or Palo Alto at a Professional level or higher. Experience in client-facing roles within an MSP environment. Track record of implementing large and complex network projects. Experience working with the Western Australian Government is advantageous.

Role overview

The Senior Network Consultant leads technical networking projects in Perth, Western Australia. This permanent, full-time role manages delivery to high standards of quality, budget, and schedule. Quick risk assessment and mitigation are central to the position. Deep experience with Cisco, Arista, Aruba, and either Fortinet or Palo Alto technologies is essential.

Only Australian citizens are eligible for this role. Preference is given to those who hold Baseline or NV1 security clearance. No exceptions are made to this requirement.

  • Develop and expand technical skills across a broad range of networking technologies.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with both colleagues and clients.
  • Closely adhere to company and client policies and procedures.
  • Oversee projects with clearly defined scopes, agreed upon with clients.
  • Design tailored solutions that meet project requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of IT networking experience.
  • Strong skills with Cisco Router and Switch (CCNP or equivalent), SD-WAN, SDA, MPLS, WLC, and ISE (ISE is desirable).
  • Essential experience with Fortinet Firewalls and FortiManager.
  • Desirable experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama.
