Join Our Team as a Senior NPI Engineer

As a Senior NPI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in transitioning new product designs from development to pilot manufacturing. This position ensures manufacturability, quality assurance, and effective testing processes, leading to the successful launch of advanced machines. You will collaborate with design-build suppliers, manufacturing, and quality teams to troubleshoot potential issues, devise solutions, and establish streamlined processes for New Product Introduction (NPI).

Key Responsibilities:

Design for Excellence

  • Engage in product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate product concepts and designs for manufacturing feasibility, identifying potential issues proactively.
  • Offer Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Reliability (DFR), Design for Test (DFT), and Design for Sustainability (DFS) inputs during design reviews.

Process Development

  • Work alongside Design & Build Partners (DBP) to create and refine manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, and quality control for sophisticated wafer fabrication equipment.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes and equipment are verified and qualified to meet stringent quality standards.
  • Collaborate with DBPs to ensure timely execution of new product introductions.
  • Identify process optimization opportunities and implement solutions for ongoing improvement.

Product Requirements & Quality Assurance

  • Partner with design engineers to comprehend new product requirements effectively.
  • Establish and uphold quality standards to guarantee compliance throughout the NPI process.
  • Enhance technical documentation, work instructions, and other essential materials for production.
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at the DBP to confirm product and process adherence to requirements.

Prototype Builds & Pilot Manufacturing

  • Support NPI projects through cross-functional collaboration, optimizing design and documentation deliverables.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for product and process failures.
  • Review and refine Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) at the DBP.
  • Utilize Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems to enhance project outcomes.
