Proficient in OTDR testing, including span loss, bends, and degradation assessments. Experience with major carrier-grade platforms such as:Adva FSP3000Ciena 6500Preferred SkillsKnowledge of Ethernet protocols: STP, 802.1Q, VPC, Multilayer Switching, Leaf-Spine Fabric. Routing protocols: RIP, OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP, TCP/IP. Experience with Cisco and Arista switching platforms. Understanding of security principles: Zero Trust, Least Privilege, Defense in Depth. Soft Skills & ExpectationsDemonstrated ownership and accountability for projects. Superior communication and presentation capabilities. Adaptable, dependable, and team-oriented. Willingness to work onsite with hybrid flexibility upon approval.

We are in search of a highly skilled Optical Network Engineer with over 10 years of experience in managing and supporting extensive optical networks in an enterprise setting. This role demands not only deep technical acumen but also exceptional communication abilities, allowing for both independent and collaborative work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain large-scale optical network infrastructures.

  • Troubleshoot and solve intricate fiber and transport issues effectively.

  • Conduct OTDR testing and evaluate fiber performance metrics.

  • Collaborate with telecommunications carriers to address dark fiber challenges.

  • Present network architectures, associated risks, and strategic solutions to stakeholders.

  • Assist with deployment efforts, including on-call availability during weekends as necessary.

  • Lead enterprise-level initiatives across diverse global teams.
